Japanese seasoning Furikake with red shiso seasoning for over rice, sushi or soups. Read more
Unlike a regular furikake, this furikake does not contain seaweed or fish but red shiso. Red shiso is a plant from the mint family that is commonly used for its crimson color. It has a complex flavor between hibiscus and cinnamon that is enhanced by salt. It can be used to coat onigiri or to add a dash of flavor to white rice, but it will also be great as a sprinkle on mushroom paste, fruit salad or potato dish. Use it to make sauces or as a finishing touch on various dishes such as salad or burrata.
Ingredients: Shiso in brine (red shiso, salt) (75.47%), sugar (15.09%), salt (5.66%), flavor enhancers (E621, E635) (2.08%), food acid (E296 ) (1.7%).
