Mooncakes
Mooncakes are beautiful cakes and they are a must eat during the Moon Festival! This important festival is also called the Mid-Autumn Festival or Mooncake Festival and is one of the most important events in China. It is celebrated every year on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese Lunar calendar. This year it falls on September 29.
Mooncakes have a round shape and thus symbolize the moon and the coming together of families. They look beautiful and are deliciously sweet! Most Mooncakes have an outer layer of dough with different types of filling on the inside.
