This paste is made by cooking the achiote seeds. It creates the concentrate to which spices and aromatic herbs are added. Since ancient times, the Maya used achiote seeds as a natural crimson dye for fabrics, makeup, and to color food.
Ingredients: Achiote (50%), vegetable shortening (palm oil), salt, pepper, cumin, garlic powder, antioxidants (E321, E319).
