Cha Soba noodles are Soba noodles made of buckwheat flour (soba-ko) and wheat flour (komugi-ko) with the added ingredient of fresh Green Tea leaves (Ryokucha or Ocha). In Japan Cha Soba is considered a delicacy and is only consumed on very special occasions.
Green Tea is considered by many to have many significant health benefits including high levels of antioxidants, polyphenols, theanine, as well as a wide variety of vitamins and minerals. Cha Soba is packed in a light-proof foil packaging to protect the nutritional value of the tea which begins to degrade when exposed to oxygen or light and to keep the fresh flavor of the green tea.
