Japanese seasoning Furikake, for use on rice, sushi, or soups. Read more
Furikake is a seasoning sprinkled directly on hot rice. There's an endless variety to enhance and vary the flavors of the rice the Japanese eat every day at all their meals. The Japanese enjoy flavor at breakfast: naturally rich in calcium, they especially appreciate its umami flavor, healthy, and...irresistibly delicious! It not only transforms white rice into a delicious addition but is also used as a seasoning for udon noodles, soba noodles, spaghetti toppings, salad dressings, and so on. Because of how easy it is to make white rice so special, Japanese and Koreans use furikake to make rice balls for their children, who love rice balls, and for picnics.
