Japanese seaweed Nori

Nori is dried seaweed, from which leaves have been pressed. The nori is made in the same way as normal paper: finely ground seaweed pulp is flattened and dried into thin sheets. Nori seaweed is mainly used to roll sushi, but you can also use the nori sheets as decoration or in salads, soups, ramen or noodle dishes! Japanese Seaweed Kombu

Kombu is a natural flavour enhancer with a strong spicy flavour. Kombu grows on rocky bottoms of the cold and calm seas. The Kombu seaweed is usually about two to five metres long and is dried in twelve to twenty months. See below the Kombu seaweed assortment at the time of writing at Tjin's Toko.
