Besengeh spice mix from Koningsvogel for preparing meat and chicken dishes. This mix has a not hot and mildly spiced coconut taste. The most famous dish made with this mix is the ayam besengeh, chicken in a mildly spiced coconut sauce.
Preparation: fry the meat (the chicken) in 2 tablespoons of oil, add the spice mix and stir well. Add 400ml coconut milk and 200ml water. Cook the whole thing over a low flame. Add salt to taste.
Ingredients: onions, sunflower oil, red fresh ground peppers, aroma, freshly ground laos / lemongrass, coriander, ground kemiri nuts / turmeric / galangal / lemongrass / cumin seed / garlic, salt, tamarind paste, preservative E260, E200 and E210.
